A Stax mallet splint is a semi-rigid, perforated plastic device designed to provide targeted support and immobilization for the distal interphalangeal (DIP) joint to treat mallet finger injuries. It holds the fingertip in hyperextension to promote tendon healing while allowing the middle (proximal interphalangeal or PIP) joint to move freely.
